When a child struggles in mainstream school, it's rarely about ability. Our special educators meet them exactly where they are and build from there.
Some children are perfectly intelligent but struggle in a regular classroom. The way things are taught doesn't match the way their brain works best. Special education isn't about teaching less — it's about teaching differently.
Our special educators create an individual programme for each child based on how they learn, what they're struggling with, and where they want to get to. Every session is one-on-one — just your child and their educator.
We also work with your child's school — sharing strategies and recommendations so their in-school experience improves too.
We don't compare your child to others. We compare your child to where they were last month, last term, last year — and celebrate every step forward.
Learning to recognise letters, blend sounds, read words, understand what they've read, and eventually read fluently for pleasure and learning.
Forming letters, writing words and sentences, expressing ideas in writing, grammar and punctuation — all at your child's pace.
Counting, number concepts, arithmetic, problem-solving — using visual and hands-on methods that work for different learning styles.
Helping children learn to sit, focus, follow instructions, and engage with tasks — skills that make every kind of learning easier.
We work on the same topics your child is covering in school — just in a way that makes sense to them. So they can participate and not feel left behind.
For older children, we also work on practical independence — managing time, following routines, organising tasks, and problem-solving in daily life.
Three principles guide every session we run.
Every child gets a personalised IEP with specific, measurable goals reviewed every 10 weeks. Nothing is generic — the plan belongs to your child and changes as they grow.
We use visual, auditory, and kinaesthetic strategies together — because different children have different learning channels. A child who struggles to read letters may recognise them when traced in sand.
We liaise directly with your child's school — sharing strategies, IEP goals, and progress reports — so the approach is consistent whether your child is at our centre or in their classroom.
No two children learn the same way, so every child at SpectrumSprouts gets a plan built specifically for them.
We assess your child's current academic level, learning style, strengths, and areas of difficulty. We also talk with you about what you've noticed at home and what goals matter most to your family.
We create a written Individual Education Plan with specific, measurable goals — like "reads 20 sight words independently" or "writes a 3-sentence paragraph with minimal support." These goals are reviewed every 10–12 weeks.
Sessions are structured but not rigid. We use multi-sensory teaching methods — seeing, hearing, touching, moving — because most children with learning differences respond best to more than one way of learning at once.
With your permission, we share recommendations with your child's school — what accommodations help, how teachers can support your child better, and what's working in sessions that can transfer to the classroom.
We work best when parents are involved. Share school reports, teacher feedback, and your own observations with us. The more we know about your child's full life, the better we can tailor their programme.
Our son was about to repeat Class 1 because he couldn't read. His school said he had a "learning problem." SpectrumSprouts figured out he has dyslexia and gave him the right tools. He's now in Class 2 and keeping up with his class. The report they gave his school was a game changer.
